Service: The women who work at Rene's are attentive, personable, and extremely service-oriented. Food: This visit I order the Caldo de Res (Mexican Beef Soup). The beef was meaty and tender. It seemed to melt into my mouth. The entire bold was hearty, filled with all kinds of goodness (tomatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, corn, and rice) served with a side of corn tortillas. Atmosphere: Definitely check out the bathroom. It was clean and modern. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere and it just gave me the feeling that I was eating at a place that was filled with love and care. Rene's is for sure one of my go-to Mexican restaurants in Waco. I can confidently recommend them to anyone.
Great breakfast tacos and pastries. Conveniently off and on for SB 35 travelers. Drive through service is always fast.
Don't be fooled by the looks on the outside and go on in! The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean AND the food was fantastic! My husband LOVED his chorizo con huevos (eggs & mexican sausage) and I loved my American breakfast (scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon) w/ a bean/cheese burrito on the side. We are quite picky about retried beans and they were spot on here!! Ladies restroom was very clean and smelled clean too! The wait staff was awesome and they were bilingual. Just like eating at Abuelas (grandmas) house.
